“I am the Manager of a busy Microscopy Facility serving Research Students and Staff within Edinburgh University.
Our users are required to sit for lengthy periods examining microscope slides, and they need to be comfortable. Our previous chairs were not.
I found Work Area Ltd at a Lab Sustainability meeting I attended and was impressed with the range of seating they offered, especially the draftsman type chairs which were very stable with a good range of adjustments, and good value.
I selected 5 draftsman type chairs in wipe clean vinyl (as our Lab is Category II containment level). I also chose a tangerine colour to make sure they didn’t disappear into another Lab!
The chairs have been much admired and the comfiest in the entire lab complex, and now people come from all over the building to admire them!”
