Are you using the right storage cabinet?

To comply with the CoSHH and Health and Safety legislation you must make sure you are using the correct storage cupboard.  All our cabinets are coloured differently so you are able to identify the contents easily.

Flammables/solvent storage cabinets

Our flammable/solvent storage cabinets have fully welded seams and are finished in yellow polyester powder coat.

All our storage cabinets and bins are fire-resistant.  The construction material can withstand fire for 30 minutes.

All doors and lids must be kept shut and locked.  You must make sure you have the correct warning signs on all cabinets and bins and they should be fixed securely to the floor or wall.

Poisons storage cabinets

If you store poisons in your workplace your must make sure that you comply with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (CoSHH).

Your poisons cabinet must be able to withstand fire for at least 30 minutes.  All our poisons cabinets have welded seams, tight fitting doors and fire-resistant hinges. They are finished in red polyester powder coat and have the appropriate warning signs on the doors.

You must make sure your cabinets have secure locks to prevent theft and vandalism.
